Celebrating Black History Month 2024!
The contributions of many Black Americans to our collective history often is not taught in mainstream culture history classes. And, that’s unfortunate. Black Americans have contributed greatly to the rich tapestry of the collective American story.
Madame C.J. Walker was the first American woman to become a millionaire in her own right. She developed a line of Black hair care products that she started selling door to door. She eventually grew her door-to-door business into one of the largest Black-owned companies in the country. You can read more about her story here.
Today, you can still purchase products from her company. They are available at this link.
